Media Kroton offers a wide range of polyphosphate products for water treatment to protect and prevent the formation of limescale in the pipes of boilers, water heaters or otherwise where water transport is present. Limescale deposits, in fact, depend on the precipitation of compounds that originate when hard water is subjected to heating and cooling. An increase in water temperature causes the release of some of the carbon dioxide resulting in the formation of calcium and magnesium carbonates, poorly soluble substances that tend to precipitate forming deposits commonly called “limestone.” Once inserted into the appropriate filters, the polyphosphate products inhibit the formation of carbonates, thus preventing the precipitation of limescale and dissolving the one already present, maintaining their efficiency for months. TEMPERING OF GLASS
